The British government is prepared to move forward with using the entire amount of seized Russian funds to bolster Ukraine's defense operations, PM Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a joint statement, the leaders of the UK, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany asserted that this coordinated action would increase strain on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and compel Russia to come to the table.

They further noted that the initiative would be carried out in strong partnership with the America.

UK penalties have frozen in excess of £25bn of Russian assets since the Russian government launched its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. But, previously, funds sent to the Ukrainian government using Russia's holdings had only been taken from gains and dividends earned on them.

Sir Keir assured Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany were in agreement in their goal to push forward toward utilizing the complete amount of the immobilized Russian sovereign holdings to conclude the conflict.

He added that more sanctions in the coming days and weeks would heighten the tension on Russia.

This announcement comes after European Union representatives convened in Copenhagen recently to discuss employing seized Russia's holdings for a €140 billion financial aid to the Ukrainian nation.

In the previous month, American leader Donald Trump encouraged international partners to take or utilize frozen Russian assets, based on reports.

The worth of seized Russia's holdings in the EU is calculated to be nearly €211bn.

Moscow launched extensive bombardments all over the Ukrainian territory on that day, causing electricity outages in many areas of the capital city, Kyiv, and eight other regions.

Also on Friday, Zelensky informed reporters he would encourage Sir Keir to enter the PURL programme, under which partner nations buy arms from the US to donate to the Ukrainian forces.

While commending the Britain's firm backing for Ukraine, he remarked it should indicate firmly that it would engage in the system, as well as impose more measures on Russia.
