Renowned Star The actor Pat Finn, Famed For Roles in Seinfeld and The Middle, Has Died at the Age of Sixty.
American performer Finn, who appeared in beloved programs like "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has died at 60 years old.
The skilled improv artist succumbed at his home in Los Angeles, California recently after undergoing cancer treatment from 2022 onward, according to media reports.
"Pat Finn never met a stranger - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his loved ones said in a statement.
They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with happiness and energy".
An Extensive Television Career
His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the brother of the main character.
He was also seen in a regular part on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.
He appeared as Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, portraying a host known to delegate tedious tasks to his guests.
During the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on several well-known programs, including:
- "King of Queens"
- "Friends"
- That '70s Show
- House
Finn was perhaps best known for portraying Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight seasons of the show over nearly a decade.
His work in movies include "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Beyond the Screen
Away from his on-screen roles, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was involved with a comedy group of six known as Beer Shark Mice.
"Pat coached, befriended and mentored many learners over the years and it would be difficult to find a person anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Offering condolences, fellow actor Richard Kind said there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, making those around him better and funnier. A great dad, a great guy," Kind wrote on social media.
Pat Finn is survived by his partner Donna, his three kids, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
