Former Physician Accused of Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- doctor stands accused of committing assaults against thirty-eight victims who were patients.
Details of the Serious Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official said, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges follow what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors said the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:
- 15 counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
