Actor Refutes Anti-Vaxxer Views Following Lending His Voice To Contentious Covid Feature

The "Taken" star has lent his voice to a new documentary that challenges the efficacy of vaccinations and lauds ex- cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Contentious Origins

Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a bestselling book co-authored by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the global outbreak for assertions that the virus was caused by a bad strain of the influenza shot.

The book's writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with conspiracy-prone figure a known commentator. Heckenlively wrote online celebrating Neeson's involvement in the film.

A Firm Statement

A spokesperson for Neeson have released a response firmly refuting implications that he subscribes to anti-vax beliefs.

"Everyone can recognize that misconduct might be present within the drug industry, but that should never be equated to rejection of vaccines," the statement states. "Neeson is not, and is not, anti-vax. His considerable work with the global charity highlights his consistent support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

The response added that the performer did not shape the project's narrative and that questions about its content should be directed to the filmmakers.

Central Claims Featured in the Feature

As presented, the voiceover spoken by Neeson features several provocative claims:

  • It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "unconditional submission" to public institutions.
  • It declares that "medical science has become dangerously influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is interviewed stating, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they just aren't adequately tested."
  • The film takes aim at pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused mental anguish that cost thousands of lives.
  • Regarding pandemic shots, it cites a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Previous Background and Ongoing Disputes

It also references a historical film about clinical trials on children, which was later the subject of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for editorial breaches.

Last month, Kennedy directed the Centers for Disease Control to change its longstanding position that there is no link between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is repeated in the documentary, even with a fresh analysis from the WHO confirming no evidence has been found.

An Earlier Statement of Advocacy

Contrasting the film's message, Neeson has in the past shown strong support for vaccines in his role as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Previously, he described vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," adding that "The discourse about vaccines in lately has forgotten how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in our history."

The documentary concludes with Neeson's voice proclaiming, "This isn't the finish of our story. It is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
